Error running Wireguard VPN Tunnel

Hello,
I recently tried installing Wireguard (https://www.wireguard.com) on my VPS, however when trying to establish a connection I get the following error:

/etc/wireguard# wg-quick up wgnet0
Warning: `/etc/wireguard/wgnet0.conf' is world accessible
[#] ip link add wgnet0 type wireguard
RTNETLINK answers: Operation not supported
Unable to get device: Protocol not supported

 
VPS used:

 Standard Vps M PLAN - OpenVZ

Yes but this is only for KVM based VPS servers

Hey bit151,

from the installation guide (https://www.wireguard.com/install/), we noticed that the WireGuard requires kernel to be at least ≥3.10 version. So it seems that our Standard VPS could not support it.

For this software we would in fact recommend you to use KVM VPS:
